Often times I find myself flogging in a venue I can’t play music, but when I can.. I have a playlist on my ipod that has a mixture of dance/techno (the only time I ever listen to it) and various rock/metal/industrial songs. With the second group, I tend to strip out the lyrics just so it doesn’t take away from the scene, or to cause unnecessary associations between the song and the flogging. For the recon, yes that has happened. I have a sub that has told me that he cannot hear “Let the bodies hit the floor” without having a bit of a flashback to our session (he said it was awesome).
