Would like recommendations for buying or making anchors and restrain system for a bed with vertical metal slats on head lard and footer

    Criteria:
    1. Don’t want to scratch or bend the metal
    2. Anchors that can be tucked discreetly
    3. System that allows for safe private play, ie, quick-release in case of emergency

    Thank you for all suggestions.

We use leather dog collars that close with a buckle and have and eye for a leash, They also have material on the inside and do not scrath. We bought them at a dollar store for 2 bucks each

You might want to post a picture of the bed and the areas where you want to place the eye bolts. I would consider the eye bolts permanent and devise a system for quick release. If you are using chain, there are quick-release clamps. With ropes, you always can use emergency scissors. Just to get ideas, you might want to spend some time looking in an old hardware store, not a big-box store. You also can do a Google search for “eye bolts” and press images. Follow the trail of an image that intrigues you.

Use 1″ wide hook and eye loops I.E. Velcro strips. They make ones that are used to wrap bundles of cable and wire. Available at your local hardware store most likely. Perhaps radio shack.

I agree with everyone, I- bolts are the way to go. We have 1 at each corner of the bed. For convenience we have ankle and wrist cuffs with heavy duty carabiner clips to attach to the I-bolts… Either directly or indirectly, with a chain or rope. Chains are louder but with a clip at each end there’s no knots required and you could clip at any link in the chain for adjustable length. We also use multiple pairs of handcuffs to tether me to the bar(s) on the headboard and/or footboard.

Hope that helps. The Internet is always a source of infinite inspiration. Save a bunch of pics with elements you like, and make the end result a unique design incorporating all the features you want, and none of the features you don’t. That’s what we did. 🙂 good luck and have fun!
