I don’t mind bruises or marks and don’t particularly show them off either. I happen to heal pretty quickly – so bruises and welts fade rather fast. But, no concerns/objections at all to a Dom/Top leaving marks, bruises, welts, etc.

Friday afternoon at IML i was whip on my back and ass. I loved walking around showing off thous marks, A lot of people were looking and a few complement the Master on his work as he lead me around the event. As I wait to get on the plain back home I’m now starting to feel the effect of that whipping and the crashing from a great weekend. I will have these marks for sometime and ware them proudly.

Face slapping is a hard NO for a lot of bottoms and submissives, something they just can’t handle. But I love it. Nothing gets my attention so fast at the start of the scene or anyplace else where my attention has started to wander as a hard slap or two.

It would be interesting to hear how others in the group feel about face slapping.

A mentor and friend of mine in NYC taught a workshop on punching, kicking and stomping. Without saying a word to the attendees, his slave knelt in front of him, and he opened the workshop with a face slapping that was so fucking hot…I almost came.

You may not call it play, but I do, so that’s the term of choice.
All that we do calls for different levels of skill. If you post something knowledge based that is geared for a specific group, aim correctly please.

If it’s; Novice, Experience, Advanced, or Ninja, please say so in the title of you post.

This will cut down on the OMG! You can’t do thaaat! threads that lose quality to quantity.

For the new folks, Please Do Not Attempt things that are radical or totally new to you on people- try a pillow first. Please understand that there are people on this group that have been doing what they do, maybe even longer than you’ve been alive. Some things will seem scary or odd or bizarre to you, just keep reading and see how it goes.

Everyone, please remember, you do not have to attend every argument you’re invited to.

While sitting in at local Munch Group night the topic of Flogging came up. Among the submissive it seemed to be the most popular form of play ( their eyes light up and some smiled ear to ear). While the few Doms there seemed to say ,ahh it’s ok. I was wondering in this group if the feelings were the same? Do Dom/me’s tend to feel the same? “it’s ok” and how many getting flogged find it is one of their favorite play time activities?

sadly i did not see this before the party on Saturday. I was stupid, i made a stupid mistake and tried flogging someone (i thought that it was simple. nothing complex… one flogger with a whip motion… so i ended up hitting my play partners kidney.) i stopped imminently.

what i gained from this experience was to read talk and do a lot of research before acting/playing
So my question is this, what do people think of theses pages?

Has anyone experimented with using silk fabric for suspension? I told my contractor that the two eye bolts he was installing in my ceiling were for aerial yoga. In an effort to have a credible discussion with him about the static and dynamic movement that would be placed on the hardware, I did some research and along the way decided that I really did want to do aerial yoga on the hardpoints. I take my first class in two weeks.

During that research I stumbled across this very short video of Lois Lane suspended in silk fabric. I could see that using silk fabric might ease the pain some people experience with rope – but still facilitate the experience of suspension.

It’s expensive at ~ $9/yard. I think the approach would be more based on wraps than knots due to the bulk of the fabric. The youtube channel with the Lois Lane video also has rigging videos. In each case they demo with rope first, then with silks, as the rope is a better demo medium.

I will be buying fabric and I do plan to experiment a bit, but I was wondering if anyone else has tried this? Did you find it to be less painful for the bottom?

If this is not the appropriate group for posting this question, can anyone point me to another group where it would be more appropriate?

What’s called aerial silk is not made of nylon, not silk. There are different kinds of aerial silks available, depending on how stretchy you want it to be, whether it should be fire-proof, etc.
Aerial yoga is indeed popular, using the same fabric aerialist artists use.

I’ve used similar fabric for comfortable inverted suspensions, and it’s quite nice, especially when used instead of a hip/waist rope – a rope can still be added on top for visual effect, but the model’s weight was supported by the fabric.

The only occurrence of suspending someone with real silk ribbons I saw was several years ago in London, performed by the Leather Family at one of the LAMs; it was quite safe as silk is very strong, but it was painful for the model, as the ribbons were cutting into the skin – it was a short suspension, so it was bearable, but just.

Flogging allows a huge range and variety of feels and intensities because of different materials and styles and can be anywhere on the stingy to thuddy range, I’ve seen styles designed to draw blood and works really well as a warm up for other activities, so I expect that’s a lot of why it’s so well loved by subs/bottoms. I know I love to be flogged. I would expect wielding floggers is not as wide a spectrum, I have my own style and my selection of implements, and most bottoms can take being flogged for a really long time depending on how the flogging is done so part of it may be that a lot of the Doms/tops get tired of doing it long before most subs/bottoms reach their limits. Just an opinion.

I do Aerial Yoga! I do self suspension with rope too. i find that the aerial ‘silks’ can bunch up and be just as painful as a twisted rope in suspension, but if you are careful to keep the material smooth, it can allow for a tender bunny to experience suspension without rope bite. Just make sure that the material folds away from the skin, so that the parts touching the skin are not bunched up.

I can’t wait to see the pics!

Why? Does the rigger not deserve not any appreciations? Is it just my problem or do you have noticed the same attitude???

I have a design and a small model of a piece of discrete BDSM furniture, it looks like an every day set of drawers (made to fit into any period or style). It folds out to be a restraint table of the correct height for penetration/flogging/spanking, the sub being restrained in the “all fours” position.
It has functioning drawers in it too so any tools can be locked away when in “vanilla” mode.
Any room can be made into a play room with one of these. One of my designs for possible future development. I just need a skilled cabinet maker to advise me on the designs and possibly even build one for real, if they are local enough to me.
The thing is… would there be any interest out there for such an item?

My Master wants something to chain me to, but we live in an apt, with a kid, so we have little room for fun furniture. Our bedroom is big, but I don’t want anything I can’t fold up and stash in the walk-in closet or disguise as something else. Our walls are crumbly and our ceiling is cement, so we can’t really suspend anything. I also think door restraints would be too loud. Any advice? I saw a g8 pic of a sort of padded sawhorse, but it was a bit small. I could modify if I had instructions, though.
